Software engineering is a detailed study of engineering to the design, development and maintenance of software. Software engineering was introduced to address the issues of low-quality software projects. Problems arise when a software generally exceeds timelines, budgets, and reduced levels of quality. It ensures that the application is built consistently, correctly, on time and on budget and within requirements. The demand of software engineering also emerged to cater to the immense rate of change in user requirements and environment on which application is supposed to be working

The Program Outcomes express the goals the program has for student learning upon completion. The Engineering Department seeks to graduate students who, upon graduation have:

an ability to apply software engineering perspective through software design and construction, requirements analysis, verification, and validation, to develop solutions to modern problems such as security, data science, and systems engineering.
Be agile software developers with a comprehensive set of skills appropriate to the needs of the dynamic global computing-based society
Be capable to develop a software to solve a precise societal problem
An ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics
An ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors
An ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences
An ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts
An ability to function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives
An ability to develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions

APPLICATION FILE

The application file includes:

- A pre-selection form (to be collected from the ISG secretariat)
- A handwritten cover letter addressed to the Head of the Establishment: this must specify the reasons for your application and your expectations
- A photocopy of the birth certificate or the CNI or valid passport;
- A photocopy of the Baccalaureate or GCE-AL or any other equivalent diploma;
- 02 recent identity photos with inscription on the back of the names and surnames of the candidate;
- An A4 size envelope;
- Photocopy of payment receipt for "registration fees (30000FCFA)" (photocopy to be made at ISG). The complete file must be submitted to the ISG secretariat).
